We first met Meaghan when she came into Cameo & Cufflinks searching for a wedding gown that was worthy of both her childhood dreams as well as her future little-old-lady memories. Meaghan was soft-spoken, kind hearted, and a genuine person brimming with excitement at the thought of her fast approaching Fall wedding. Along with Meaghan we met her equally lovely mother, Sonia, who much like her daughter was full of joy as she helped prepare for the big day. Often members of a brides family can be forgettable, but both Meaghan's mother and father were warm, memorable people.
The process to find Meaghan's wedding gown was both delicate and precise. She wanted a timeless look; something that could be looked back on in years to come and never be considered 'out of style'. At the same time, the bride, twenty-something and adventurous, wanted a gown that would exude her youthfulness. It took some time, ruling out many of the other beautiful dresses in the store, before Meaghan's wedding dress journey came to an end. It was love at first sight, when she decided on a strapless, embroidered lace gown with an elegant fluted skirt and customized train. The Canadian designer, Romona Keveza, is a red carpet designer for Hollywood celeberties, but those starlettes pale in comparison to Meaghan's beauty when she wore her Romona wedding gown. Adding a bit of her unique personality to the dress, Meaghan added a Bling! belt, hand sewen with Swarovski crystals. And, of course, the traditional, cascading cathedral length Toni Federici veil. We adore the flower-crown that she chose to tie her whole look together!
Meaghan and Ben said "I Do" on October 4th overlooking the breathtaking Rocky Mountains at the Lake Louise Chateau. The wedding had a rustic elegance, with many of the beautiful decorations being prior prepared by the bride & groom along with their friends and families. Ben handcrafted the stunning arch that he and his bride wed beneath, and Meaghan dreamt up the lovely turquoise mason jars that held her wildflowers. All the elements of the wedding: the changing leaves, the rustic/contemporary fusion, the stunning turquoise lake, the wildflowers--entwined beautifully to create the perfect wedding day. And, of course, the most stunning of all the well-thought-out decor: Meaghan in her gorgeous Romona Keveza wedding gown & the look on her grooms face when he seen her walking down the aisle.
Congratulations to Meaghan & Ben. We wish you countless laughs together, much love, and many more fabulous fashion moments!
