Sexy, Short, and Chic Wedding Dresses!
One of the best fashion trends to hit our store the past year has been the movement for brides to step slightly out of the traditional wedding dress box. Short wedding dresses may have been seen as unorthodox in the past, but in 2015 they are becoming popular with many brides; not just as reception dresses, or for destination weddings, either! We are seeing more and more brides in search of knee-length wedding gowns, opting for a more playful, fun feel. The best part of the short dress trend is how versatile short wedding dresses can be. Whether you’re looking to find a short style that fits your country-chic venue, a dress to pair with your elegant champagne evening ceremony, you're getting married in a tropical location, or you want a second dress for later in the evening--we can help you find the cut-off gown that you’ve been dreaming of!
Every bride is unique, with individual tastes and preferences. Every day at Cameo & Cufflinks we meet beautiful women trying to distinguish themselves as individuals. They want to find a wedding dress that not only defines their personality, but also one that they feel will represent their marriage for years to come. Short dresses may be on trend right now, but they can exhibit fashion qualities that will withstand the test of time, and remain classic each and every decade. You don’t have to dress like Lady Gaga to exhibit on-point bridal fashion, but it’s no longer imperative for you to wear a traditional gown like Kate Middleton. The following styles blend together fashion-forward laces & fabrics, while remaining romantic & classic.
We’ve chosen our top five favourite in-store short wedding gowns that cater to our unique brides in search of something that won’t fall short of their fair-tale dreams! Check out these dresses from Hayley Paige, Tara Keely, Ti Adora by Alvina Valenta, and Alfred Angelo!
This is a new Spring 2015 gown from Tara Keely of JLM Couture. This dress was designed by the renowned fashion king, Lazaro, and this dress has strong traces of his workmanship. The boning and bustier give structure to the gown, while the soft, small print lace softens the look. And the sheer panel at the bottom of the dress is a unique way to end the dress. Did we mention this mini dress can be ordered with a gorgeous tulle skirt for the ceremony?!
This Alfred Angelo wedding gown features interesting details from the top of the dress to the bottom! The beautiful illusion neckline is a welcomed, romantic variance from the traditional strapless dress. And, of course, the short pencil shape is the unique feature our Short Dress brides are searching for!
Ti Adora is the little sister of Alvina Valenta, and she has created a sexy, fun A-line dress. The champagne underlay pops out the delicate alencon lace, and the short hem line features a beautiful scalloped edge. The front illusion neckline is very formal, while the low back gives the bride an opportunity to show off her youthful side.
Tara Keely has created a gem with this soft, velvety venice lace dress. The unique scalloping on the sweetheart neckline creates an interesting detail, and the bubble shape (created by a few layers of light crinoline) make this short gown the perfect reception dress! We love the understated simplicity of this shortie!
We've said it before: Miss Hayley Paige does no wrong! Here she has created a cashmere lined dress with floral ivory lace, with the feature of the dress being not only the short length, but the sexy strapping! This dress fuses together sexiness with romance, and no designer could do it better than Hayley Paige. We also love the overskirt she offers with this dress; you can mix and match skirts to create a custom-made wedding dress, and take the skirt off for the reception & after party! Two piece dresses for double the fun!
