Oskar & Lucie

Real bride, and fabulous Cameo & Cufflinks consultant Lucie, wed the love of her life Oskar, in April! We couldn't be happier for this beautiful couple; they have a magical love story, the pages of which are filled with a journey from Czech Republic to Canada & the beginning of a new life together!

Lucie wore a fitted lace trumpet gown by designer Stella York, and she looked absolutely fantastic in it! Her veil was a custom creation, dreamt up by the bride & brought to life by talented in house, Cameo & Cufflinks seamstress Candida. To tie the look together, adding a bit of sparkle, Lucie chose a last minute addition to her gown, a Swarovski studded Bling! belt.

Lucie and Oskar were wed in an intimate ceremony at The Rotary House, surrounded by a small group of their closest friends & loved ones. We also love the non-traditional approach they took to their photographs; the day after their nuptials they went out on location to Lake Louise & Lake Minnewanka and got some absolutely incredible photographs. Their first day waking up as husband & wife, and they created some incredibly stunning art!

Congratulations to this breathtaking couple. We love all of our brides, but there is something very special when a Cameo & Cufflinks consultant becomes a bride. We wish Lucie & Oskar a lifetime of happiness; we know they will have as beautiful a marriage as these photographs!

Jocelyn & Robert

Reception: Teatro
Photography: Rachel Joyce
Flowers: Rhosyn Floral
Hair: Amanda Cherniak
Makeup: Keely Bigland
Dress: Romona Keveza

Jocelyn & Robert were married in the architecturally enchanting Knox United Church in downtown Calgary on November 14th; a perfect Fall day filled with autumn leaves & multi-faceted beauty. Jocelyn wore a stunning gown designed by red carpet designer Romona Keveza exclusive to Cameo & Cuflinks. The gown featured dainty, re-embroidered lace and a blush pink underlay that helped highlight the fine detailing in the lace. The gown, from the top of the scalloped sweetheart neckline, through the perfectly fitted trumpet shape, to the bottom of the lace hemline, the gown was stunning on the bride! Jocelyn put her own individual style into the gown, finishing off her bridal look with a soft ivory sash embellished with Swarovski crystals, drawing the eye to her natural waist and adding a touch of her personality to the gown. Oh, did we also mention her beyond fabulous Manolo Blahnik shoes?! Jocelyn was not only a beautiful soul, but she was a bride with some serious style!

Jocelyn was a detail-savvy, beautiful bride to work with, and we were honoured to get to know her. She was excited to share her experience with future brides:

I went to Cameo and Cufflinks as my first stop in my search for a simple classic lace dress, and knew that cameo carried a few designers that I was interested in. The dress I chose was the second dress I tried on. It was exactly what I was looking for, it was lace with a blush underlay, it fit perfectly and it was comfortable.

The bride also had some lovely advice for future brides:

My advice to brides when looking for a dress would be to keep it simple and elegant, in most cases less is more and on the morning of your wedding try to eliminate the chaos by not having too many people in your house the morning of and take time to enjoy the moment, don't rush.

We were thrilled when Jocelyn had these endearing things to say about her experience at Cameo & Cufflinks:

All the ladies at Cameo and Cufflinks are very sweet and very helpful. The one thing I love about cameo and Cufflinks is that the store isn't overwhelmed by too many dresses, the selection of dresses they sell are high quality, elegant, classic gowns

We want to wish Robert & Jocelyn a beautiful life together, and congratulate them on their stunning wedding day!!

Kate + Jeff

A modern-day princess married the love of her life in the Okanagan this summer, and we were head over heels in love with her & her Sherbert Tara Keely gown...

Bridal Gown: Tara Keely - Photography: Heatherly Photography - Mens Suits: Derks Formal - Bridesmaids: Revolve Clothing - Maid of Honour: Donna Morgan - Florals: Christina Jenion at Classic Creations

Kate's wedding dress story, much like her first photograph, hold a certain amount fairytale whimsy. We meant Kate in late April, and although we felt a slight panic after finding out she was getting married in only 5 months, we were also secretly thrilled that she had waited to say yes to the dress, because by waiting, she inadvertently created a very good story. The day she came into the store and chose her Spring 2015 Tara Keely gown is the same day that the sample piece arrived in the store! The dress went from New York to Calgary, out of the box, onto the hanger, and waited a few hours before Kate became the first bride to try it on. We're suckers for a cheesy story, and we believe that Kate's gown was calling her name; can you say 'meant to be'?

Kate's Tara Keely gown features perfection from top to bottom! The dress features a strapless sweetheart bodice with defined, shallow cups & bustier appearance, a layered ballgown skirt with horsehair trim, and sectioned layers of sherbert tulle underlay.

Congratulations to Kate & her new husband Jeff! We wish the two of you as beautiful of a marriage as you had wedding day!

Erin & Troy

Wedding Gown: Le-Ann Belter  -  Photographer: Dean Sanderson  -  Hair & Makeup: The Styling Trio  -  Venue: Marina Beach Resort in Puerto Morelos Mexico

Our lovely Real Bride, Erin, was married in a Canadian made Lea-Ann Belter wedding gown in April of 2015. Erin and Troy said "I Do" on the stunning sandy beaches of the Mayan Rivera in Mexico. Erin wore a silk-dupioni gown sold exclusively at Cameo & Cufflinks that featured light-weight, organic silk with flattering ruching, and a classic sweetheart neckline.

When we asked Erin to give us a few small details about how the special day went, she gave us three lovely facts that we couldn't help but share with you!

1) Erin & Troy were married by a family member! The officiant was Troy's sister-in-law, which made the ceremony very intimate and personal.

2) Erin asked her three nieces to do the honour of being her flower girls! All three girls took the job very seriously, and we can tell by the pictures that they were the perfect companions for the bride.

3) Not only did Troy love Erin's wedding gown, but a wedding guest also commented that Erin looked like a Disney Princess...we couldn't agree more! Isn't it every girls dream, from the time they're little, to the time they become a bride, to look & feel like a princess?!

We would like to once again congratulate Erin & Troy on their beautiful marriage; we wish a marriage even more beautiful than your wedding day! Please click on the links at the top of the page to find out more about Erin & Troy's fabulous vendors that helped make their wedding day possible.

Brittany + Curtis

Our Real Bride Brittany was married to the love of her life, Curtis, over a year ago. They celebrated their one year anniversary on July 4th! They were joined together in Canal Flats, British Columbia, during a beautiful outdoor ceremony...

Brittany wore a strapless Alfred Angelo gown, featuring a unique delicate lace, soft sweetheart neckline, and classic pickups. To tie the look together, the gown was paired with a mocha coloured sash. The back of the gown adorned a lace-up, which not only gives a visual appeal, but is also very practical when it comes to helping to show off the brides shape! Brittany's gown truly mastered the elegance of a classic, timeless wedding dress.

The bride and groom had an outdoor ceremony (in 34 degree heat!), which Brittany described as absolutely gorgeous! The couple used family & friends to take their photographs, which ended up turning out extremely romantic and captured the beautiful outdoors perfectly! We would like to extend our congratulations to the happy couple! Not only on your marriage, but on your one year anniversary! We wish you many, many more years of happiness together.

Lyndsay + Dave

Our Real Bride Lyndsay not only found Dori, but she also found the love of her life Dave, and married him in a beautiful church ceremony in Saskatoon in June...

Wedding Gown: Hayley Paige  -  Bridesmaids Dresses: Sorella Vita   -  Photography: MJ & Co  -   Mother of Bride: Frascara and Groupe JS - Father of the Groom: custom tux by Cameo & Cufflinks

Lyndsay wore the famous Dori gown created by the trendy, sought-after designer Hayley Paige of JLM Couture in New York city.  The gown is one-of-a-kind, featuring a high halter neckline beaded with light-catching Swarovski & cubic zirconia crystals, and a flouncy tulle skirt trimmed with horsehair. You may have seen this Dori gown online in the alabaster colour--a unique purple that is exclusive to Hayley Paige. We love this dress in the alabaster, but Lyndsay's choice of ivory was absolutely jaw dropping, and we were so excited to finally see the stunning gown in a timeless ivory!

Planning the wedding was a team effort coming from both the bride & groom, as well as their excited families. Dave even had a part in the planning, choosing the fun orange & blue colour scheme. Lyndsay and her mom spent quite a bit of time at Cameo & Cufflinks, purchasing all of the wedding fashion worn by the bride, maids, and mother-of-the-bride at our store. We even did the alterations on the wedding gown here in-house!

We were so happy to be a one-stop-shop for Lyndsay and her family, and are drooling over her stunning photographs. Congratulations to Lyndsay & Dave on their beautiful wedding day; we wish them as lovely of a marriage as they had wedding!

Sayler + Dustin

The age old expression "she looked like a princess on her wedding day" is one that has been tweaked in the case of stunning Real Bride Sayler. Not only did she look like a true princess, but she also brought an undeniable red carpet presence to her wedding day! Sayler bought her gown in true celebrity fashion, and looked like a Hollywood icon on the day she said “I Do”!

Gown: Legends by Romona Keveza - Veil: Arthur Harris - Belt: Haute Bride - Photographer: Risa Walbaum

Sayler wore a gown created by celebrity fashion designer Romona Keveza. The gown was timeless with a blush underlay & classic ivory embroidered lace, with a scalloped hem and sweetheart neckline. The fit of Sayler’s dress is unique to the designer, with a trademark fluted skirt that gave tons of definition to the her body. When we asked Sayler about what it felt like to wear a gown created by such a renowned designer, she explained that: “Everything about the gown fit perfectly and made me feel beautiful, if that is what celebrities feel like every day then I absolutely felt like a celebrity!”

We first met Sayler in Lethbridge, when we had the exciting opportunity to be part of a bridal show that involved Say Yes to the Dress wedding gown guru Monte Durham. We were fortunate enough to work side by side with Monte that day, meeting beautiful brides in search of their wedding gowns. Sayler was one of the charming brides that was lucky enough to receive an appointment with the Southern dress king!

Sayler had some endearing things to say about her overall experience with Monte, explaining what it was like to work with a television personality as large as Monte! She said: “The experience was quite overwhelming to be honest so many people wanting to get a piece of Monte! But when it became my turn it was so nice to get his expertise on the designer and a little background information! I never imagined I would be walking away with a dress that day but I just fell in love and could not resist.”

When we asked her what the best piece of advice she could give to other brides was, her answer was short, sweet, and extremely helpful! She said “Trust your gut and spend the extra money! It was worth every penny!” And we couldn’t agree more with her!

We want to say thank you to Sayler, who was a lovely bride & great sport about sending us pictures and giving us advice for our future brides! We were beyond happy when she raved about her experience here at Cameo & Cufflinks, saying “Nicole remembered me when I came into the store months later even though I am sure she saw hundreds of girls that day in Lethbridge and in between made me feel like my business was important and I was important!”

All of our brides here at Cameo & Cufflinks are very dear to us! Congratulations Sayler & Dustin; you had a beautiful wedding, and we are sure you will have a beautiful marriage as well. Thank you for letting us be part of your special day.
