Christina and Kevin had know each other for quite a few years in high school, meeting through mutual friends. They always had an instant connection. Once university was done and they were where both back in Calgary, they hit it off parties, camping, hikes, the lake, pretty much any group gathering. They finally knew they where meant to be more than just friends, the connection was undeniable! Growing their relationship from being such great friends first has made the relationship that much more special!

Christina and Kevin were celebrating 3 years together and heading up to Banff for their yearly anniversary celebration. On their way out they made a stop into Canmore at Kevins family cabin that his grandparents had built . A very special place they spent so much of their relationship at. And a very near a dear place for Kevin growing up. They did one of their favourite hikes right down the street of the cabin that took them to a beautiful lookout with a view of the town of Canmore. Once they got to the lookout point bench , Kevin got down to one knee and pulled out the ring and proposed. It was such a perfect expression of the pair as a couple.

"I couldn’t have had a better dress experience at Cameo & Cufflinks! It was the third place I went to try gowns on, having no luck else where. The whole vibe instantly made me feel comfortable and special. They had so many different styles and the process of trying them ALL was amazing. C&C was able to help customize and create my perfect dress. Altering one long dress to be hemmed above my knee for the reception and to have an over skirt made to wear overtop for the ceremony. It was beyond perfect! I was happy to say we also purchased the mother of the bride, bridesmaids, and junior bridesmaid / flowers girls dresses all at C&C. They where always so understanding and helpful when it came to finding their dresses also! I tell everyone I know getting married to make sure they put a visit to cameo and cufflinks on their must do list!"

Christina and Kevin got married at Shannon Terrace amphitheater in Fishcreek Park, Calgary. They needed somewhere dog friendly in order for their dog, KC, to join. Their reception was held at a family members acreage just outside of Calgary. The intimate outdoor gathering was filled with so much love, fun, and laughter. They where so lucky to have a family member step up and offer their acreage, since Covid had thrown a wrench in their original plans to have it in Canmore. They were able to customize their reception to bring out all their favourite things together! Games, fire pit complete with s’mores, beautiful scenery , a beer truck! All of which they were able to enjoy in beautiful sunny weather with their closest friends and family members. Christina had both her dads walk her down the aisle (step dad and biological dad). They both contributed so much to who she became. Kevin's brother was their officiant for the ceremony, he did such an amazing job and it will always hold a special place in their hearts.
Simple, rustic, and outdoorsy were the theme's while planning. Christina was the last of her best friends to get married so she took all the aspects of all their weddings that she loved and put it all together with her own flare!

The pandemic threw a wrench in here for them, they where supposed to go to Hawaii and Disneyland. Instead we did Banff, Kimberly and stayed in their trailer in Lake Koocanusa. Christina wouldn’t change it for a second though! They visited so many special places that where part of our relationship over the years

How did you find your vendors?
I am lucky enough to have an event planner as a sister so she took care of most the finding out for me! My photographer though has been my friend since kindergarten, she’s done ALL of our family photos, milestones, and Christmas card photos!
What was one of your favourite moments from your wedding day?
We took a moment after our ceremony and got Starbucks then went to sit on Kevins grandparents memorial bench at the Glenmore reservoir. It was such a nice way to include them in our day even though they couldn’t be their with us; and to take a moment to ourselves with the little pick-me-up coffee was so nice. ONE MORE! My wedding dress consisted of a short dress that was covered by a long over skirt. During our reception dance, I chose the song ‘Dancing Queen’ by ABBA and dropped my skirt! The look on my husbands face was priceless, he had no idea all day long that I was wearing something like that.
Do you have any tips for future brides?
Take no ones opinions but yours and your husbands! GET GOOD SLEEP those few days before. It is truly the best day ever but it’s a LONG one!
